When the same thought occurs recurrently, I’m often left wondering why I haven’t addressed it yet. Some thoughts resurface infrequently but they become more a product of a phase in life. Others are simply temporary.
In general, I’ve been feeling that I haven’t acted on a lot of the thoughts I’ve had in the past couple of months. Ironically, this sort of stagnancy has become an inspiration and ultimate push factor.
For this particular purpose, I believed my thoughts were much bigger than my body. Recently more than ever, the global world has faced many changes in weather patterns/natural disasters along with being exposed to a heightened level of awareness in pollution/global warming. As an avid reader, I oftentimes feel powerless in terms of what’s going on outside the realm of my selfish existence. I read a quote in Viv’s Lonely Planet book which said,
“Treat the earth well. It was not given to you by your parents. It was loaned to you by your children.” – A Kenyan proverb
I am only one (earthie) but that should not stop me from staying up to date on recent events and topics. In this selfish challenge, I want to spread some of the information and insight I find along the way. Spreading is communicating and as my loved ones have taught me, sharing is caring.
