Revisiting Mistakes

I (try to) live my life without any regrets, letting mistakes be bygones.  I, of course, always note the lesson from each mistake. Perhaps this ritual is am important ingredient in living a life with no regrets. You come to peace with whatever hump you drove over. But lately, I’ve been feeling that revisiting that mistake is a crucial part of checking my progress. I realized this when I found myself at the brink of hitting another hump. There are some things in life that gradually and quietly become a part of who you are today – in your behaviors, quirks, likes and dislikes. But of those behaviors, there are those that are faulty and become all too much of a vice. It’s subtle, it’s in your sub-conscious. Make sure you have an eye for recognizing it when it resurfaces.. otherwise you’ll find yourself standing at the brink, about to fall in.
